ABC-7 First Alert: Stormy 4th of July through midweek

Hello and good evening ya'll! After a rainy day for some areas yesterday, today we will see some more storms across the area. But then, by Monday, which is your 4th of July Holiday, widespread storms will move into the area with a surge of extra moisture from the west. Ultimately, we will have a scattered storm-filled Sat/Sun and then a widespread storm-filled Mon-Wed.

Expect numerous storms to develop across the area by the evening of the 4th. That being said, whether there will be firework shows going on or not, it could be a bit soggy. You'll want to plan some activities indoors, or get the grilling done early because of the storm chances. As we get closer to Mon-Wednesday we will have a more accurate forecast on when exactly you can expect rain so stay tuned.

As always, localized flooding, small hail, and gusty winds will be expected out of some thunderstorms through midweek. Stay safe ya'll and let me know if you have any questions.
