No new virus deaths in El Paso as total cases near 3,300

EL PASO, Texas -- No new coronavirus deaths were reported by El Paso health officials on Saturday, but the number of additional cases rose by 85.

The total number of infections in El Paso County now stands at 3,298, while deaths remain at 90.

As of Saturday, the number of El Pasoans recovered at 2,241 more than doubled the number of those with active virus cases at 967.

There were just under a hundred patients hospitalized (98) due to the virus on Saturday, with over half of those (56) listed in intensive care and 36 needing ventilators.
