Las Cruces Plumber Arrested For Forging Gas Line Inspection Tags

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – A Las Cruces man has been arrested for allegedly forging inspection stickers on gas lines.

35-year-old Billy Martinez who owns Pro Plumbing and Heating was arrested Sunday and charged with two counts of Forgery, two counts of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony and one count of Tampering with Evidence.

According to investigators, Martinez used a substance used to fix tire leaks to stop a leak on a gas pipe at a construction site.

He then put an inspection tag stating the pipe was ok and ready for use. Martinez posted his 20-thousand dollar bond is and has been released.
