Your Voice, Your Vote: Candidates for El Paso County District Attorney face off during debate

EL PASO, Texas -- The candidates for El Paso County District Attorney faced off during a debate in the ABC-7 studios.

Four democratic candidates are vying for the seat that will soon be vacated by current District Attorney Jaime Esparza.

There are no Republicans in the race , so the winner of the Democratic party race will become the new District Attorney for El Paso.

Attorneys James Montoya, Roger Montoya, Karen Dykes and Yvonne Rosales joined in the debate.

ABC-7's Stephanie Valle asked the panel to answer the same three questions and each candidate had 30 seconds to respond.

Then, the candidates were allowed to ask another candidate one question.

Early voting is already underway and continues through Feb. 28. The primary is March 3.
