‘One Fund El Paso’ begins taking applications from Walmart shooting victims

Victims of the Aug. 3 Walmart mass shooting can now begin to apply for financial assistance from One Fund El Paso.

Eligible victims may apply for funds at nationalcompassionfund.org, or call 1-855-4VICTIM (855-484-2846). Nov. 8 will be the last day to apply.

Applicants must have been inside either the Cielo Vista Walmart or Cielo Vista Sam’s Club or their parking lots on Aug. 3.

A community resource fair will be held Saturday to help those who may qualify for donated monies.

Staff from National Compassion Fund – which is One Fund El Paso’s administrator – will be on hand at the fair to provide assistance. Other local agencies will also be at the fair.

The fair will be at the new El Paso United Community Assistance Center at 6314 Delta Drive from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
