EL PASO, Texas -- An El Paso man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly killing his missing estranged wife and then stuffing her body into an apartment storage unit in the 1600 block of Zaragosa.

Police booked 22–year old Linwood James Smith into the downtown jail on a murder charge carrying a million dollar bond.

Smith is accused of in the death his estranged wife, 21-year old Kerica Robinson. She had been reported missing on Tuesday afternoon by a friend.

Sgt. Enrique Carillo said investigators then "found evidence leading them to believe the victim had been killed by Smith," adding that "further investigation led detectives to the discovery the victim’s body inside her apartment’s storage shed."

Police did not elaborate on the evidence against Smith or indicate how Robinson was killed.
