Victim seriously injured in far east El Paso shooting

EL PASO, Texas -- One person was taken to the hospital after a shooting in far east El Paso on Saturday night.

Fire dispatchers told ABC-7 it happened in the 11700 block of Jennifer near George Dieter and Pellicano just after 9:30 p.m.

First-responders said the shooting victim was seriously injured.

El Paso police were investigating; there was no immediate word on what led up to the shooting or whether any arrests had been made.
