EL PASO, Texas -- El Paso police on Friday announced an arrest in last month's stabbing attack that they said took place outside the Rockin’ Cigar Bar & Grill in the city's Cincinnati Entertainment District on the west side.

21–year-old Yaanan Uriel Evans of El Paso was being held in the downtown jail on $500,000 bond after being taken into custody by police gang unit investigators early Friday morning.

Authorities filed a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon against Evans in an attack on 24–year-old Devin Vaughn Graham that left the victim critically injured with multiple stab wounds.

Investigators said Graham was stabbed Jan. 24 by Evans during what they described as an altercation in front of the bar shortly after closing time.
