2 hurt, arrest made in northeast El Paso convenience store shooting

EL PASO, Texas -- El Paso police said two people were wounded, one with serious injuries, in an early Monday morning shooting in northeast El Paso.

The shooting was reported shortly after 1:30 a.m. outside a 7-Eleven convenience store at Fairbanks Drive and Rushing Road.

Police said one person was taken into custody.

ABC-7 news crews observed police going in and out of the VIP Lounge, a bar in the shopping center on that street corner.

No other information was immediately available.
