Woman arrested as SWAT team, police gang unit serve ‘high-risk’ warrant in central El Paso

EL PASO, Texas -- The police department's SWAT team was called out Thursday afternoon to help gang unit officers serve what was described as a "high-risk" warrant in central El Paso.

The police activity in the 3700 block of Hamilton Avenue ended with a woman being taken into custody; the charges she faced were not immediately known.

Several nearby streets were blocked off and police had asked people to avoid the area, which was cleared after the arrest took place.

  1. Haters still consider Hamilton to be part of Northeast not Central. Since SWAT situation is in ‘Central” not Northeast this thread isn’t blowing up.
