Northeast El Paso home raided by SWAT officers, man arrested

EL PASO, Texas -- The El Paso police SWAT team raided a home in northeast El Paso on Friday evening and arrested a man as a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter circled overhead.

The raid happened around 7 p.m. in the area of Kenworthy Street and Lucy Drive, which was about an hour after the police began diverting traffic as the SWAT team was deployed.

Neighbors told ABC-7 there was domestic disturbance and the man apparently barricaded himself inside the house with a gun. There were no reports of any shots fired, nor did police identify the man arrested or indicate what charges he faces.
