Police searching for suspect who shot man in east El Paso, crashed into golf course

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso police said a man was shot near an eastside Whataburger early Monday morning, and the shooter is still at large.

A spokesman for the police department said they first received reports just after 4 a.m. It happened near the store at the 9500 block of Montana Ave.

Police said the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. Police believe the shooter is a woman who drove off and crashed into the neighboring golf course on Admiral and Montana. Police said the suspect was not found at the scene of the crash.

Police said they are searching the immediate area for the suspect.
