Two adults were evacuated from the house at that time, no injuries were reported.

Fire crews considered it a serious fire, with a lot of smoke and a lot of flames, but it is something the dispatched crew on scene were able to handle.

10 units were on the scene, with 17 firefighters.

The flames could be seen from the TX Dot traffic cameras on I-10 at Mesa.

The El Paso Fire Department says American Red Cross, Texas Gas and El Paso Electric are assisting.

The family did have several cats many of which were not accounted for as of Wednesday afternoon.

"Sun City Cats wants to thank all of you. At this time, the family’s beloved cats have not been accounted for," a post on Sun City Cats' Facebook page reads. "Sun City Cats is working on logistics to help find the indoor cats and to care for the free-roaming, outside cats. Once permission has been granted to return to the property, volunteers will be helping to locate and care for the cats. We will definitely let you all know if anything is needed. This family is the kindest and this is devastating. Thank you from the family. They truly appreciate your thoughts and prayers."
