The Nation’s Weather for Friday, November 8, 2019

Snow will taper off across northern New England tomorrow as

a storm system moves off the East Coast. High pressure

building into the region from the Midwest will usher in

colder air from Canada and temperatures across the Northeast

will fall to levels more typical of the middle of the

winter. This colder air will help to trigger lake-effect

snow showers to the south and east of the Great Lakes,

especially during the morning hours. Colder air will filter

into the Southeast as the cold front associated with the

system sinks south across Florida. Rain will end in the

morning from the Carolinas to the central Gulf Coast, while

showers and thunderstorms continue across Florida.

Meanwhile, high pressure over the Plains and out West will

keep the regions largely dry.
