Nuggets stun 76ers with 4th-quarter surge…Wiseman plays, Memphis wins…Bolts top Sabres in Stockholm

DENVER (AP) _ The Denver Nuggets trailed by 19 heading into the fourth quarter on Friday before outscoring the 76ers 35-13 the rest of the way to earn a 100-97 win over Philadelphia. Nikola Jokic (nee’-KOH’-lah YOH’-kihch) finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds, Jamal Murray delivered 22 points and 11 assists, while Will Barton added 20 to the comeback victory. Jokic drained an off-balanced 20-footer with 1.2 seconds remaining to put the Nuggets in front.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) _ Pascal Siakam (see-A’-kam) matched his career high with 44 points and grabbed 20 rebounds as the Toronto Raptors coasted to a 122-104 win at New Orleans. Toronto used a 45-point second quarter to take control of the game and improved to 6-2. Fred VanVleet had 12 points and 11 assists, and OG Anunoby contributed 21 points and seven rebounds.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) _ Memphis blue chip freshman center James Wiseman was on the court on Friday after getting a temporary restraining order to play while he fights an NCAA ruling that he’s ineligible to play for coach Penny Hardaway and the Tigers. The seven-foot Wiseman had 17 points and nine rebounds as the 14th-ranked Tigers administered a 92-46 thrashing of Illinois-Chicago. Fellow freshman Boogie Ellis led Memphis with 22 points and was 6 of 9 from 3-point range to help the 2-0 Tigers shoot 59% for the game.

UNDATED (AP) _ No. 2 Kentucky had no trouble with a state rival as Nick Richards had 21 points and 10 rebounds in a 91-49 romp over Eastern Kentucky. Third-ranked Kansas bounced back from Tuesday’s loss to Duke as Devon Dotson furnished 22 points and six assists in the Jayhawks’ 74-62 win over UNC Greensboro. Tre Jones contributed 15 points and eight assists in fourth-ranked Duke’s 89-55 pounding of Colorado State.

STOCKHOLM (AP) _ The Tampa Bay Lightning have won the first of back-to-back games with the Sabres in Sweden by downing Buffalo, 3-2. Nikita Kucherov (KOO’-cheh-rahv), Alex Killorn (kih-LOHRN’) and Yanni Gourde (YAH’-nee gohrd) scored to support Andrei Vasilevskiy (va-sih-LEHV’-skee), who made 20 saves. The Sabres dropped their fourth in a row despite Sam Reinhart’s two goals.
