Honolulu, HI (KITV) — The state asked people to donate news slippers – as a way to “take a step together against domestic violence.”

Saturday, Child & Family Service workers set up a booth at Walmart Kapolei to take those donations – and teach people about preventing domestic violence in our community.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Slipper donations will go to Hawaii families living in shelters, attending Child & Family Service programs, and to kids at nearby schools.
