One injured when platform collapses in building

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — One person was hurt after a stairwell platform collapsed Thursday morning in the building at 290 Main Street in Buffalo.

Buffalo Police say a slate platform collapsed inside the building, and that a building worker was injured and taken to ECMC with non-life threatening injuries.

An Erie County spokesperson told us there are about 200 county employees who work at the building, and that a number of companies are housed there. That person also told 7 Eyewitness News the worker who was injured was not a county employee.
