Wil Herren, weekend forecaster, reporter

Wil was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. He has the distinction of being part of the first graduating class at Franklin High School in 1997. He completed Basic Training and Advanced Infantry Training at Fort Benning, Georgia, in 1998.
Wil served as a Rakkasan with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
He worked with family as a general contractor with the federal government.
In 2017, Wil graduated from UTEP with a bachelor's in multimedia journalism and a minor in anthropology. Wil got his start in media at KVIA.
While in high school, Wil played football, soccer, baseball, wrestled and ran track.
He interned for almost a year and a half before being hired.
Wil has worked as a photographer, reporter and anchor.
His first live shot came during an appearance on the Borderland Blitz. An appearance Wil is proud to have set up on his own. He's traveled all over the Borderland for stories.
