4 virus deaths, 108 new cases, 41% fully vaccinated in El Paso
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The El Paso Department of Public Health announced four new coronavirus-related deaths and 108 new cases Friday.
The latest deaths included a man in his 50s, and 2 men and a woman in their 90s.
El Paso County's pandemic death toll now stands at 2,539. There are 43 additional suspected Covid-19 deaths currently being investigated by the health department.
El Paso health department data shows that 41% of El Pasoans over the age of 16 are now fully vaccinated, with 63.1% having received at least one.
The number of known active cases now stands at 2,337, a decrease of 70 from Thursday.
There are 147 Covid-19 patients (-6) in El Paso hospitals, with 44 (-4) of those patients in intensive care units.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 134,092 confirmed virus cases in El Paso with 129,104 reported recoveries.
