3 more El Paso virus deaths; those fully vaccinated around 48%

EL PASO, Texas -- The El Paso Department of Public Health announced three coronavirus related deaths and 60 new cases Tuesday.

The number of known active cases stands at 1,789.

Meanwhile, El Paso County's pandemic death toll increased to 2,574. The latest fatalities included a man in his 40s, a man in his 50s and a woman in her 60s without underlying health conditions.

There are 28 suspected Covid-19 deaths still being investigated by the health department.

There are 130 (+7) Covid-19 patients in El Paso hospitals with 38 (-4) of them in the ICU.

El Paso health department data shows that 48.4% of El Pasoans over the age of 16 are now fully vaccinated, with 66.6% having received at least one shot.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 134,925 confirmed cases with 130,463 reported recoveries.
