No new virus deaths; 57% fully vaccinated in El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- For the fourth time in the last five days, the El Paso Department of Public Health did not report any new coronavirus related deaths.

Health officials reported 18 new cases Monday morning.

El Paso County's pandemic death toll remained at 2,621.

There are still 11 additional suspected Covid-19 deaths currently being investigated by the health department.

El Paso health department data shows that 57% of El Pasoans 12 and older are now fully vaccinated, with 71% having received at least one dose.

The number of known active cases now stands at 626.

There are 52 Covid-19 patients in El Paso hospitals, with 19 of those patients in intensive care units.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 136,251 confirmed virus cases in El Paso with 132,915 reported recoveries.
