EL PASO, Texas -- Search and Rescue crews will resume their search for a missing hiker in the Franklin Mountains Monday morning.

Fire officials confirmed they received reports of a missing hiker Sunday afternoon. The hiker went up the Ranger Peak Trail.

According to officials, the vehicle belonging to the missing person was found near the trail and the person has reportedly been missing for more than 24 hours.

Late Sunday night, EPFD Tweeted:

"After an exhaustive search and rescue operation on multiple trails, no individuals were found. A second operation will be dispatched at daylight to continue the search. Police units continue to monitor the area."
