Texas nonprofit gathers leaders in wake of Uvalde shooting seeking solutions, change

Facebook Zoom

EL PASO, Texas – Children at Risk, a Texas nonpartisan research and advocacy nonprofit with ties to El Paso, gathered community members to discuss the current needs in Uvalde.

“We firmly believe that Texans can work together to protect our children without comprising the second amendment,” said Dr. Bob Sanborn, president and CEO of Children at Risk. “Texas is known for its resilience, spirit, and heart. We trust those traits to shine through this darkness as we move towards change.”

The goal of the discussion was to provide support resources and begin a conversation about what needs to change.
