Supervisor at downtown jail fired after being arrested for indecency with a child
UPDATE: According to documents obtained by ABC-7, a 12-year-old girl told a counselor she had been abused by SGT. Lorenzo Morales, when she was six years old. The girl claims Morales touched her in her private area.
Morales told investigators he never touched the victim in a sexual manner.
The indictment states the the victim had told her counselor that Morales had been looking at her private parts when she was five years old.
According to investigators, the mother said her daughter had made suicidal ideations earlier this year. The mother says the girl began self-harming and leaving marks.
EL PASO, Texas -- The El Paso County Sheriff's Office says it has fired a downtown jail supervisor for indecency with a child.
The Sheriff's Office says SGT. Lorenzo Morales was arrested on July 18, 2022.
According to officials, he was employed with the agency for 13 years. His termination was effective Friday.
