I-10 eastbound lanes at Sunland Park reopened after crash; westbound lanes remain closed

UPDATE 7:15 p.m.: The eastbound lanes on I-10 at Sunland Park has reopened for traffic on westbound lanes remain closed. An earlier version incorrectly mentioned the highway's westbound lanes had also reopened.

UPDATE: According to El Paso Fire, two people were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

UPDATE 4:25 p.m.: An alert from the Texas Emergency Assistance system indicates clearing time on the crash is until further notice. All lanes are closed; backup westbound is to Schuster. Eastbound backup is to Transmountain.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- A crash with serious injuries has shut down all lanes of I-10 east and west were shut down.

Special Traffic Investigations are responding to Sunland Park and I-10.

The crash was reported at 3 p.m.
