2 Teens Arrested For Alleged Racing In Central EP

EL PASO, Texas — Two teenagers were arrested Sunday night for allegedly street racing in Central El Paso, police officials said. Officers were patrolling the 3000 block of Montana when they spotted a 2008 Ford Mustang and a 2006 Hyundai Azera traveling side-by-side at a high rate of speed.

Officers stopped the vehicles at I-10 East and Copia. Seventeen-year-old Justin Rodriguez and 19-year-old Hugo Rios were taken into custody for racing on highway, a Class B misdemeanor. They were booked into the El Paso County Jail on $300 bond each.
