Responding to a wreck in far east El Paso, police say an alleged drunk driver was alone in her car with the exception of a dog.

The incident happened around 12:12 Monday morning near the intersection of Stephanie Drive and Jennifer Drive. Police say the driver of a Honda Passport crashed into the rear of a Lincoln Navigator that was parked in the street, moving it about 30 feet. The driver was taken to a local hospital, but police say she was not seriously hurt.

The Honda had extensive damage to the front end. Police say the driver had a toy poodle with her in the vehicle. There is no word on the condition of the dog. According to police, the woman had been drinking.
