El Pasoans speak to Albuquerque business group about business growth, transportation issues

El Paso is often compared to Albuquerque with some saying the Duke City is better than the Sun City.

Thursday Albuquerque looked to El Paso as an example of how to grow the economy, deal with real estate development and transportation issues.

Speakers included City of El Paso Planning Director Matthew McElroy, Sun Metro director Jay Banasiak, and developer David Bogas.

Banasiak talked about Sun Metro’s accomplishments, the mission and over goals as they relate to the overall city. He also talked about the importance of public-private, service and how transit can help generate economic development.
