Central El Paso massage parlor raided, connected to alleged illegal sex acts at Las Cruces massage parlor
Homeland Security Investigations special agents executed a federal search warrant this morning at Kyoto Hot Stone Spa, 616 N. Virginia, Suite A, as part of an ongoing criminal investigation, according to ICE spokesperson Leticia Zamarripa.
It was not immediately clear what the search warrant was for.
ICE has confirmed the owner of Kyoto was detained.
While on the scene, ABC-7 saw two people taken from the business with towels covering their faces.
It is unclear who those people were.
Kyoto advertises its services on backpage.com’s adult services and escort pages. The advertisement states Kyoto has “Friendly Asian Staff & Table Shower,” “Swedish & Shiatsu Bodywork,” and”Oriental & Deep Tissue Relaxation.”
El Paso County Court records show Kyoto Hot Stone Spa is registered to Lee Ann Sun, whose address in Las Cruces coincides with a massage parlor, Bally Hot Stone Spa, that was raided by federal agents in August 2011.
Three employees were indicted on charges of promotion of prostitution and accepting the earnings of a prostitute.
Las Cruces Police in 2011 said 45-year-old Hyang Sook Kim was allegedly paid to perform sexual favors at Green Hot Stone Spa and 49-year-old Myung Hee Ok was employed to provide massages and perform sexual favors for male clients of Bally. Suk Cha, 62, worked at Bally as a cook and parlor maid.
