El Paso police officer arrested on suspicion of domestic violence

ABC-7 has confirmed an El Paso police officer was arrested last Wednesday on suspicion of domestic violence.

El Paso police officer, Gilbert Melendez, was arrested on suspicion of assault against a family member.

Melendez has been placed on administrative duties pending the outcome of an investigation. He was booked into the El Paso county jail on Thursday and was released after posting a $2,500 bail.
