No arrests made in prisoner murder

Southern New Mexico Corrections Facility officials say no arrests have been made in the stabbing death of 34-year-old Javier Molina.

Molina was stabbed to death in a gang-related attack on Friday night.
Officials say Molina was in the same gang as his killers who reportedly attacked the prisoner in a common area where inmates play cards and watch television.
New Mexico State Police say several inmates were involved and they believe a metal shank they found in one of the inmate’s cells is what was used to kill Molina.
Prison officials say Molina never said he felt targeted or revealed that he had any enemies at the prison.
Molina was serving a 13-year prison sentence for armed robbery, escaping from jail and forgery.
