Sheriff’s deputies catch one of their most-wanted fugitives during traffic stop

El Paso Sheriff’s deputies caught one of their most-wanted fugitives after they pulled him over for a defective tail light.
Deputies said 31-year-old Juan Leon was pulled over for the traffic violation, at the intersection of Mark Jason and Gabriela, Thursday night.
According to deputies, Leon attempted to give a false name, but they could tell he was bluffing.
After learning Leon’s real name, deputies said they tried to take him into custody, but he ran and had to be tased in order to be stopped.
Leon had a an outstanding warrant for possession of a controlled substance and a 50,000-dollar bond.
Leon is also facing charges including evading arrest and giving deputies a fake name.
