Officer-involved collision leads to gas leak

Emergency crews responded to a gas leak following an officer-involved collision Sunday morning.

Officials said the accident happened near the intersection of Kenworthy and Diana in the Northeast.

EMS dispatch told ABC-7 an officer was checked for injuries at the scene, but not taken to the hospital.

A gas meter was knocked out due to the collision, but it is unclear whether an additional vehicle was involved.

An ABC-7 photographer on the scene reported an odor of gas in the area, and officials said the area around the accident was shut down for a period of time.

No additional details were provided.
