EPPD: Man lured to Northeast EP home; beaten with baseball bat, stabbed

The police department’s gang unit is investigating an aggravated assault that left three men seriously injured.

The investigation revealed the was lured to a residence on the 3700 block of Devore Court for the purpose of being assaulted by the offenders, also injured during the fight.

It happened at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday February 1, 2017.

Police said the victim was struck on the head with a bat and stabbed in the upper torso by the offenders.

During the attack, the victim defended himself with a pocket knife and both offenders sustained lacerations to their face, neck and body.

All three were transported to University Medical Center for treatment.

Police said arrest warrants for Aggravated Assault have been issued for the offenders and they will be booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility upon release from the hospital.
