No injuries in semi-truck fire that closes I-10 west near Socorro

CLINT, Texas -- A semi-truck caught fire on Friday afternoon on Interstate 10 westbound near mile-marker 49 between Clint and Socorro, forcing the temporary closure of the highway for fire crews to put out the blaze.

No injuries were reported.

Authorities advised drivers to use alternate routes such as Gateway West, Northloop or Alameda.
