22-year-old man taken into custody after SWAT negotiations

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- A 22-year-old man has been taken into custody after a family violence call escalates to a SWAT situation, according to police officials.

El Paso Police received the call before 1:30 a.m. at the 10600 block of Obsidian St., Friday morning.

ABC-7 crews on the scene say they heard officers calling out to the man inside the home.

SWAT negotiated with the man for about 2-hours. Three people in total were inside the home and two people were safely evacuated, according a police spokesperson.

No injuries have been reported.

The scene has since cleared.
