Train Collides With Dump Truck In New Mexico

OTERO COUNTY, N.M. – A Union Pacific train smashed into a truck onU.S. Highway54 at mile marker 13 on Tuesday afternoon.

Only axles and twisted metal are left after the collision. A Union Pacific train smashed into the big rig around 3:30p.m.

Officials say the train pushed the truck about three quarters of a mile after impact. The driver was pulled from the truck and rushed to the hospital in unknown condition.
