Classes On Motorcycle Safety Available In Las Cruces

LAS CRUCES, NM – More members of law enforcement are encouraging motorcycle riders to brush up on their riding skills.

The Las Cruces Police Department is circulating information ontheNew Mexico Motorcycle Safety Program. It’s designed to teach the basic skills necessary for riding safely, authorities with the program said.

Classes are held over a period of three days and are scheduledon weekends through Dec. 6.

Upon completion, the participants qualify for the New Mexico Motor Vehicle Division’s motorcycle endorsement that’s necessary to legally operate a motorcycle within the state.

Instruction is conducted at Club Fusion Teen Center and is available to anyone 13 years old or older.

Participants need not own a motorcycle to take a class as they are provided by the Motor Vehicle Division for the field-training portion of the course.
