Police Find Home ‘Unsanitary’; Mother Of 4 Arrested
LAS CRUCES, NM — Police arrested a woman on Monday on a charge of child abuse afterthey found herhome could pose a health threat to her four young children.
Erica Aguilar, 29, of the 800 block ofN. Tornillo Street, was booked into the Dona Ana County DetentionCenter on a $10,000 bond.
Police found Aguilar’s home infested with roaches in and around the kitchen, and inside the refrigerator and kitchen cabinets. The home also had a strong odor of animal feces and urine.
Aguilar’s four children, ages 6, 8, 11 and 14, were placed in protective custody.
