La Mujer Obrera: Working For Women Working

EL PASO, TX. – La Mujer Obrera is an El Paso group which strives to provide job training for women workers along the border, but that mission costs money.

Representatives from the organization went to City Council Tuesday asking for $2 million dollars.

The money would fund the organization’s proposed Centro Mayapan – a proposed job skills facility.

Council members didn’t award any money – but voted to explore the funding proposal.
