Shots Fired In Central El Paso
EL PASO, TX. – The investigation continued Monday afternooninto what led up to a shots fired call earlyMonday morning in Central El Paso.
Police got the call around 2:30 a.m. thatneighbors reportedgunfireon the 3300 block of Wyoming Ave.Officials on the scene told ABC-7 that several area residents called the police to report that they heard four or five shots fired, but no one knew exactly where.
Police say when they canvassed the area, they came across a house with beer cans littering the front yard and called one of the residents. That resident said he would be out to talk to police,but never went outside.
That’s when police blocked off the road. Two other men later walked out from behind the house, but when they saw police, they ran off. Police were able to catch them and take them into custody, they are facing evading police charges.
Police say the man who allegedly fired the shots says he and his family were being threatened. It’s not yet known if the other two men taken into custody were involved. Police continue to investigate.
