Survivor of deadly crash talks to ABC-7

is connecting people like we never have been. from old high school friends… … to new friends you’ve never met. and many of you are using abc-seven social media to share your stories with the borderland. sometime they’re encouraging and uplifting. and others, are heartbreaking… and make you stop to appreciate your health … and loved ones. last night, i posted david najera’s story on our facebook page. he survived that wreck on i-10 last night that killed a 14-year-old boy: estela: are you okay? you just came back from the hospital. david najera: buying a sling right now for my shoulder. uhm… my right leg’s pretty banged up, but they said it was just deep contusions. so, it’ll be awhile before they heal up. but unfortunately there was an… i knew the f-150, another vehicle that was involved, they weren’t too good. so, i told the paramedics to tend to them first. david says his jeep was hit by an 18- wheeler that was rear-ended by a pickup truck. david came up to me late last night at a west el paso walgreens… and he really wanted to share his story with me and all of you. david najera: i’d really caution everybody just to pay attention. always be looking into your rearview mirrors and sideview mirrors, and just be on the lookout. i posted david’s story on our facebook page… and since last night, 20- thousand people have already watched it. our thoughts go out since last night, 20- thousand people have already watched it. our thoughts go out to david and everyone involved in the crash. rick? former el pasoan lee trevino is in town today, promoting the sun bowl all-america golf classic.
