San Elizario wins 2015 cross country state title
San Elizario defended its Conference 4A UIL Cross Country State Championship in weather full of mud and rain.
T he Eagles earned back-to-back state crowns scoring an impressive 53 points — well ahead of their competition.
San Elizario had six runners all place in the top 25. They are all as follows.
Erick Arambula (first place), Ulises Cardoza (17th, 17:15.59), Miguel Garcia (18th, 17:17.83) Leo Gomez (20th, 17:19.37) David Ceballos (23rd, 17:24.98) and Carlos Pargas (24th, 17:31.26). It’s seventh runner, Adrian Contreras was 60th in 18:05.18.
Tornillo also placed 4th in their district.
