Benito Martinez veterans parade

fight for our country” benito martinez elementary school had its annual veteran’s day parade a day early. this morning kids marched and dressed head-to-toe in patriotic hats and clothes. some were joined by their veteran parents. today’s parade was not only for local service men and women … but also paid tribute to the school’s namesake, benito martinez. martinez was an army corporal, now buried at fort bliss national cemetery. he was posthumously awarded the medal of honor for heroism, after singlehandedly holding off a company of north koreans for six hours in 1952. let’s take look at our current traffic
