Trisha Yearwood talks about what keeps her relationship with Garth Brooks going strong

Our very own Estela Casas got the chance to interview country superstar Trisha Yearwood as she got ready to kick off her first of five shows with husband Garth Brooks in Las Cruces.

When asked what she was hoping fans would leave with after the concert Trisha replied, ” I hope that they leave feeling that they got enough love back from us.”

Trisha also spoke about what keeps her relationship with Garth going strong.

“Because we were married before, but we’ve known each other for so many years, we’ve had a friendship that a lot of times you don’t get. We are there for each other and I think that’s why it works. From the minute we decided to get married we made a decision to be together and not a part and that’s probably why this works so well.”

Both perform again today in Las Cruces. Saturday and Sunday shows will be at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
