Developer announces plan for new resort development in West El Paso

The developers behind the Montecillo smart growth community in West El Paso have announced plans to build the “Resort at Montecillo,” a four-acre resort area to include a resident clubhouse, resort style water attractions, and event center.

“With this new resort, Montecillo is taking the concept of a smart growth community to a whole new level, said David Bogas, Director of Development for EPT Land Communities.

The clubhouse will include “top of the line amenities such as a business center, state of the art fitness facilities, separate aerobic and yoga rooms, a teaching kitchen which will offer free cooking lessons, a bar area, concierge desk, and private lounge areas,” a news release states.

The resort style water attractions which will include a lazy river pool, a beach entry resort pool, a children’s splash pad, private cabanas, an outdoor movie screen, outdoor bars with poolside food and drink service and 40ft vertical water slides.

The project includes a 400-guest Events Facility. Developers say it will serve as a special event venue “with the capacity to host an array of conventions such as music and public events and will offer full catering.”

“We believe in delivering the best amenities to our residents and this is a testament to our commitment,” said President of Integrity Asset Management KC Griffin.

Construction is set to begin in six months.
