Police arrest third person involved in westside smoke shop robbery

The El Paso Police Department’s Westside Tactical unit has arrested and charged a third person in the Aggravated Robbery of a Westside smoke shop.

18-year old Eric Perez was arrested Friday and charged with aggravated robbery.

Westside Tactical units on-going investigation revealed that Castillo, Garcia and Perez were working together when they entered a Westside Smoke Shop and took several pipes without paying for them. This resulted in the three men being charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity Theft.

Further investigation revealed that all three men working together approached a young male as he walked in the 1100 Redd and took a cell phone from the victim.

All three were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility and face aggravated robbery charges.
