Clients being tested for possible tuberculoisis at lower valley adult day care

Around 200 residents at an adult day care center in the lower valley are being tested for tuberculosis (TB), officials with the El Paso Department of Health confirmed.

The investigation is being conducted at La Victoria Day Care on the 1200 block of Lee Trevino began after a client tested positive for tuberculosis.

Tuberculosis is a potentially serious infectious bacterial disease that mainly affects the lungs.

Health officials said testing is not unusual and they do this type of testing several times a year at different centers. This article will become updated as more information comes in.
