Hundreds gathered at Album park Saturday morning to celebrate the life of former Border Patrol agent Jose Barraza.

Agent Barraza died in a crash involving an 18-wheeler and his Ford F-150 truck. He was assigned to the Sierra Blanca station of the Border Patrol’s Big Bend Sector. The crash took place on westbound lanes of I-10 at Mile Marker 78 near Esperanza.

Barraza’s oldest son, Joey Jr., told ABC-7 that he was sure they were going to make this run an annual event to keep the memory of his father alive.

Barraza left behind a wife, Donna, and two young boys.
