Many summer events planned for Downtown El Paso

The Downtown Management District says there are a plethora of events that will be offered this summer and it all starts this Friday.

“We want to remind El Pasoans of all the great things that are happening in our downtown area and to be aware of the number of events we have occurring downtown and to plan ahead when they’re coming downtown to enjoy one of the events they have chosen to attend,” says El Paso Live General Manager Brian Crow.

Mariachi Loco will be held this Friday and Alfresco! Fridays will also return for the summer. Executive Director of El Paso’s Downtown Management District, Joe Gudenrath, says it is best to arrive to events early so you have plenty of time to find parking and can enjoy all the other things downtown has to offer.

Of course the Chihuahuas have plenty of games left in the season and they’re looking to attract more than die hard baseball fans.

“We try to be more than baseball and we want families and people who may not even be sports fans to know that they have a building and a fun place they can hang out with their friends and family,” says El Paso Chihuahuas General Manager Brian Taylor.

Here’s a list of the events offered this summer.
